My favorite excerpt from my final memoir is from my first piece. It was, I remember the first time I wrote a first piece. It was 9:48 A.M. in Mrs. Roper’s English 12-1 class. She told us that our first piece could not be about anything we did not want our parents, friends, etc. to know about. So I decided to write about the first time I wrote a first piece, only because I could not think of a more exciting first that I did in my life. I started my first piece with, “I remember the first time I wrote a first piece. It was 9:48 A.M. in Mrs. Roper’s English 12-1 class. Posted in Uncategorized on December 6, 2008 by greeneggsandham1The setting of this video is Japan. The internal and external conflict is the mean japanese girl telling the deaf girl she is wasting everyones time trying to learn to play the violin. The protagonist is the deaf girl and the antagonist is the other mean japanese girl. The irony is that a deaf person could never learn to play the violin. The climax of this video is when the deaf girl finally gets to play the violin in the talent show, and probably wins.

I believe that this picture accurately depicts Hamlet. It shows Hamlet after the sword fight with Laertes. You can see everyone around Hamlet trying to save him and they just leave the other people (King, Queen, Laertes) to die because they all deserved to die while Hamlet did not do anything wrong.
Assignment 6
Posted in Uncategorized on October 12, 2008 by greeneggsandham1I believe that there was not as much symbolism in the Wizard of Oz as we think there was. Some of the assumptions (see wiidrum’s assignment 6) are too insane for one person to think of by themself. I also do not think there is as much symbolism in books as we think there is. I think there are just some really smart people who have nothing better to do than sit at home reading book(and watching movies) and examining every little part of that book(or movie) and say it has symbolism. When I get bored and have nothing better to do later in my life (50 years) I will write a book that will look like it has a lot of symbolsim so when people come to the conclusion that it has symbolism I can tell them that they are wrong and stop putting symbolism in everything, then I can blame them for my having to write this assignment because they had to go and put symbolism in things that did not have symbolism.

The media portrays women as skinny with large bosoms, and men very muscular. But the majority of people in the world are not this way. They are mostly overweight but the media and cosmetic companies want you to believe if you buy their product that you will look like they do. Some people even go into surgery to get fat removed, or their stomaches stapled so they will be skinnier. Unfortunatly that is the kind of world we live in, where it is all about making money and looking good.
Assignment 3
Posted in Uncategorized on September 7, 2008 by greeneggsandham1I believe that the theme of Pride and Prejudice is pride and prejudice. At first Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy did not like each other because of their first impressions. Elizabeth thought Mr. Darcy was a selfcentered jerk and Mr. Darcy thought Elizabeth was not pretty enough. They were also not attracted to each other because of their social standing. Mr. Darcy did not want to marry Elizabeth beacuse she is much poorer than he is, and since the beginning of time, money has been one of the most important things. I do not believe money is as important as it used to be because everyone is pretty much middle class, there are few upper and few lower, but they marry within their own social class so they do not matter. Or the lower will marry the middle and the upper will marry the middle, but almost never a lower and an upper class.

Between 1585 and 1592 he began a successful career in London as an actor, writer, and part owner of the playing company the Lord Chamberlain’s Men, later known as the King’s Men. He retired to Stratford in 1613.
Renaissance Man
I believe Chuck Norris is a renaissance Man because he has “skills in all areas of knowledge, in physical development, in social accomplishments, and in the arts.”
